Ok, finally finished all my recent DC and Marvel  jobs and now focusing on creator-owned material at Dark Horse.

First up: PAST AWAYS with writer Matt Kindt! We're premiering a short in DHP # 6 in December and the new ongoing series starts in March 2015. Adding some art to the gallery. Hope everyone likes!

This is the real Scott Kolins, correct?  Not just a fan page? (I've seen people make fan pages and it can be confusing of which is the real person, and which is fan-made...)

If so, can I ask you a question?

Okay, so in my General Studies Writing (GSW) class, we have to write an essay, and I chose the New 52 as my topic.

Can I ask for your opinion on it? Most specifically on the Flash comics in the New 52?

I really liked the idea of the new 52 and was very excited. Some of the new Flash stuff was great. Haven't read it on a while though.

I want to say, thank you for responding, but unfortunately I had already turned in the essay by the time I saw your reply.

But, it definitely made my weekend by far better when I saw that you had responded. I had had a horrible weekend, from small things, to big things like my grandfather having a stroke, and seeing your response made it a lot easier to get through the week.

I know it sounds sappy and kinda pathetic, but it's the honest truth. And I know it would have been a whole lot harder without that little ray of sunshine for me, to know that such a great artist would care enough to respond. :)

Thank you again.

(And, I want to ask another question: When did you both start and stop working on The Flash? I have both "Blood Will Run" and "Rogues", which you illustrated in both, but I'm just curious.)

Dear Scott,
Greetings from New Zealand!  I won't take too much of your time as I expect that you are terribly busy.  Would you ever consider selling the original cover art to Flash #197 (with Zoom?)  Please contact me at your convenience.
Cheers,
Brandon

Sorry Brandon, I dont sell most of my covers. And that cover is also attached to flash covers 198, 199, and 200! Its basically five covers in one giant piece.

No worries, Scott.  I had to try.  The art was to be a gift to a lifelong friend (I've known the guy for about 20 years) and he's the biggest Zoom fan on the face of the planet.  :)

Let me know if you ever change your mind.

All the best,
Brandon
